After her tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, Libby led public engagement for a public-private partnership in North Carolina focused on transitioning early-stage technology out of the university and into the marketplace.

Libby began her career working on Capitol Hill for Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast, eventually leading his policy team as Legislative Director. In her time as a policy advisor, Libby focused on environmental, transportation, health, education, and science policy.

Working with partners in Washington, D.C. and around the country, she successfully achieved the passage of several consequential pieces of legislation into law.

Upon leaving the House of Representatives, Libby led public engagement for a statewide, public-private partnership in North Carolina focused on transitioning early-stage technology out of the university and into the marketplace.

In this role, Libby led efforts to coordinate messaging, public affairs, and engagement with stakeholders ranging from the University of North Carolina System, the defense sector, economic development groups, and state and federal government partners.

Originally from Tennessee, Libby has also called Texas, Washington, D.C. and North Carolina home. As an alum, she is a passionate fan of the Baylor Bears.
